Ellie had her first dance class this evening, since before the summer break. She had taken a dance exam just before the break, and didn’t find out out until this evening how she got on. Well she passed with ‘honours’, so was absolutely thrilled, and is proudly showing off her rosette and certificate to anybody and everybody.

I went to a meeting in the village this evening. Despite a lovely sunny day, there was a noticeable chill when I walked back afterwards, and it was dark. I am not mentally prepared for autumn. How did it get to be September so suddenly, honestly May was only yesterday it seems.
