Nikki is godmother to the little lad next door, Freddie. Fred started doing half day at school this term. Yesterday Nikki went up to pick him up from school. On the way back down, Fred had run on a little, and then waited for Nikki. Some chap who was doing his garden spoke to Fred, ‘good lad, you wait for your Mum’…. Nikki was somewhat lost for words. Fred put the man right.
Tricia is away for the weekend, she is in Kent (Deal) with 4 other friends from the village (one of which is Freddie’s mum, hence Nikki doing the school run). Nikki moves into the rented house she has with 2 other uni friends today, so we have two full car loads moving things down to Hatfield a little later on. I have to get Robbie back by 3 though as he is ‘dog-sitting’ later on.
I went up to a meeting of the local acting group last night, where we were looking at a play for production in Feb. The choice was ‘when we were married’ by JB Priestley. I would have to play an opinionated yorkshireman, not hard but I did that two years ago in a different play, I don’t think the director has the casting correct either. So, I am not too keen at the moment.
Oh well….. better get on with loading the car up.
