So the kitchen tap has been going for some time, but last weekend it detiorated to a gentle stream, we couldn’t turn it off… so on Monday a man came out, looked and fiddled with the tap, and then condemned it. So, on Tuesday a new one was fitted.

On Tuesday evening I picked Ellie up from school onj my way home. She had stayed late playing rounders. When she got in she run a bath, fancying a soak rather than a shower. Which was a good plan until water started coming through the dining room ceiling…. That would be Nikki’s recently painted ceiling. So, a mopping up was done, and now we have a nice stain (not) on the ceiling. The bath is now out of use until we get the plumbing fixed on that.

Then one evening in the week, we noticed a small stain on the ceiling in the main bedroom… we have some water coming through from the edge of the roof. Good grief.

What with the constant rain, you could say that water has been a feature of the week.

In other news…. Ellie got an ‘honours’ pass in her dance exam (rock’n’roll), and she also picked up some merits at school this week. Robbie has just about finished the fairytale illustration he has been doing at uni, which will get entered into a competition. It seems that one of ladies on the GB Bobsleigh team has failed  a drugs test…. Lots iof speculation over who it is. All we know is it isn’t Nikki.

Nikki has gone to spend the weekend with Robbie in Northampton. Next weekend he is coming home for his birthday….20. For a few months I won’t have a teenage offspring. Ellie will be ateenager in October, but is practicing now

Ellie had a day out with the Guides on Saturday, they went to London, and did the tourist thing. She came back with a 2012 Olympic flag…so we will have to fly that.

I managed to get myself in the pool and the gym this week, so feel better for the exercise. Need to keep it going now.
