May 5th to May 12th

So this is a catch up blog, and I am trying to do it in bite sized chunks. This particular week for me was chaotic, as it was production week for Habeas Corpus. Many weeks of rehearsals culminated in the first night, on Thursday 8th. We had rehearsed on the Monday (double run through), then on the Tuesday and Wednesday evening. By which time all was just about right. I didn’t fluff any lines on any nights, I grabbed breasts at the appropriate times, got well and truly slapped for my sins three times in return, and ran around on stage without my trousers. Tricia and Ellie came to the first night on the Thursday. The audiences on the Friday and Saturday nights, when we had a full house were very responsive… On the Saturday evening I had a number of work colleagues come to see me, including two from the USA as well as my boss and his family, and Deb and Carlos came along as well. A number of my work colleagues were staying locally, so after we had tidied the hall and taken down the lighting I went and sat with them for a while… they of course had been drinking, whereas I hadn’t so it was a little difficult to tune in :-).

Sunday 11th was a relatively quiet day. Tricia and Ellie went to the Guiding Banner service, I sat in the chair and watched the final day of the Premiership season. I was hoping West Ham might upset Man City, but no, they lost, and Man City won the title.

So some pictures… here we have a few from on stage doing Hab Corp.

It was all done in the best possible taste.

Then a couple of Ellie carrying the flag at the Banner Service.

… and from Rob’s birthday. The cake Ellie made. And finally a photo of Robbie in an armchair that had been dumped. Tricia and Rob were doing a walk as part of their build up to walking the Highland Way, and Rob took advantage of a quick rest 🙂
