When we returned from our trip to Simon and Katie’s wedding, we were ‘horrified’ to find an infestation of gnomes… It would seem that on the Saturday night, our (so called) good friends, the Robinsons, had been celebrating Pat’s Mums 90th… as some people (Peter and Jane, Bob and Carole) left the party, they were ‘armed’ with Gnomes, given to them by Pat, and as they happened to walk past our house, they decided to drop them off! So, we had been ‘gnomed’. Well, no problem, I will get my revenge 🙂

So, we had a few days before going on hold, it was nice to have a few quiet days. We had to replace the washing line…. it had been gradually falling apart over the last few years. Nikki tried to fix it, but it was beyond hope, and so a visit was made to get a new one and Nikki helped me put it in.

The week before the wedding, Rob and me dropped in on my Mum and Dad, just to make sure they were ok. Now my Dad and Robbie are very similar in a lot of respects, interests in drawing / art, and military history and Napoleonic wars… so I shouldn’t really be too surprised when my Dad gives him a sword… not that Robbie needs any encouragement.

Robbie posted this photo up on facebook with the comment ‘You know you have a lot in common with your Grandad when he gives you his Sabre sword!’…

So, with the house all ready, on Thursday we were ready for the off….
