Fortunately we had come back from holiday on the Bank Holiday weekend, which meant we had a bit of time to recover from our overnight flight. The Bank Holiday Monday was a bit of a wash out, not so good for the Winslow Show. It was back to work on the Tuesday, having not been at work for nearly three weeks. It was also straight back into rehearsals for ‘Oh What a Lovely War’… Tuesday evening, and then on the Sunday a rehearsal for a whole afternoon. Nikki flew back in on Thursday, landing at Gatwick at 7:30pm. She had flown back specifically for Colin & Jean’s (aka Granny and Grampy, and Mum & Dad) 50th wedding anniversary. Tricia had already pre booked a weekend away with the ‘Girly’s’ so she wasn’t going to be around, but she did do the cake (of course).
I worked from home on the Friday, Tricia left for Kent with the Ladies. Saturday morning, after a much needed haircut, I went across to Winslow with Nikki, Rob and Ellie for the 50th wedding anniversary do in the afternoon. It was nice to catch up with some of Tricia’s family, who kept asking where she was :-(. The weather held up, overcast but it didn’t rain. A pleasant afternoon all told. Sunday morning we all went across to help take down the gazebo’s. Some pix, of the 50th do, and also of the ladies in Kent… where the weather looked better…
