till I switch jobs. Not that I am counting
The world is getting back to normal here. Nikki is back at uni – well, she is working in Luton hospital the next few weeks. Her assignment was changed to the surgical ward, so she has been helping post op patients. I think she found her first day somewhat daunting. Robbie and Ellie were back to school today. Tricia was pleased to get the house to herself again.
I spent the morning on school governor duties. We had to review over 300 admission applications, for just 140 spaces. This afternoon I rushed to Hemel Hempstead for a business meeting that was a complete waste of time. Still, it’s another day ticked off.
But the most important news…………. after a problem with the dishwasher yesterday ….. the man came out and fixed it.
The dishwasher is by far and away the most important thing in the house.
Even more important than the Nintendo wii. Which is great fun, but doesn’t clean the plates.
I couldn’t live without my dishwasher!! I was just thinking this morning as I was unloading it that there’s no way I’d cook as much as I do if I didn’t have it… and it’s really only in the last 10 years or so that I’ve lived in a place that has one. Before that, it was all me and a sponge
No I’m sorry I have to disagree. If the dishwasher goes I may not be happy about it but I can still wash up. A dead washing machine which isn’t going to be fixed until Monday means I’ve got to fit trips to the laundrette or obliging friends into the schedule somehow.
I so do not miss being a school governor
How sad are we (or was that wii) blogging about dishwashers!
I to am no longer a governor – yes!!
